What is Labial veneer ?

Labial veneer is a thin layer made of composite or dental porcelain placed over your tooth surface, covering the flaws on your teeth for a better smile and your better appearance.
Labial veneer is usually done for discoloration teeth, teeth not in proper shape, or teeth with misalignment in certain cases. Labial veneer has become the most popular treatment to gain confidence in smile.

What are advantages of having Labial veneer ?

• For esthetics purpose, porcelain veneers can create attractive and glamorous smiles with well-aligned and properly shaped teeth.
• For functional purpose, veneers can protect surfaces of damaged teeth caused by wear and tear.

you should consider dental veneers if you have one or more of the following.

• Teeth that are discolored, such as tetracycline stains
• Teeth that are malaligned, irregularly shaped, and uneven
• Teeth that have gaps between them
• Teeth that are worn down and chipped through wear and tear, grinding, clenching
Restorative : fillling, inlay, onlay
Tooth-colored restorations (fillings) include composite resin restorations, ceramic inlays, and ceramic onlays. Depending on the size of the restoration, your dentist will select the most appropriate restoration for your teeth.

Tooth-colored restorations are now commonly used to replace black amalgam restorations since since they may cause mucosal discoloration and some people are worried about the mercury level in amalgam.

Teeth whitening (bleaching)

Longing for a brighter smile?

Teeth whitening is an aesthetic dental procedure that lightens the shades of teeth by application of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. In general, teeth whitening can be achieved in dental office or at home.

The in-office whitening gel has higher concentration of peroxides and provides a faster, more prominent whitening effect compared to the one used in home-whitening kit.

Teeth whitening works well in patients who have extrinsic stains, in other words, teeth stains with coffee, tea, tobacco, etc. However, if you have tetracycline stains, you should consider dental porcelain veneers instead of teeth whitening. Mild sensitivity after teeth whitening is common but manageable. The effects of whitening can last from one to three years depending on the patient’s diet and oral hygiene.
